Respecting Individual Differences in a Cross-Cultural Environment
Communication takes place in an instant - but the problems created by miscommunication can last a long time. In a multicultural
environment, problems can crop up easily, even when people have the best intentions.
Creating the optimal workplace goes beyond legislation. It’s about creating a work environment that respects individual dignity and
differences. For people to perform at their highest level, they have to understand each other’s communication styles, and be free from worry
about being the targets of inappropriate or unprofessional behaviour.
This interactive workshop uses case studies, videos, role plays and questionnaires to engage participants in all four types of learning
styles. Participants will understand how to communicated across cultures, and avoid misunderstanding that lead to conflict. They will learn what
behaviors “cross the line” and how to deal with any situations that compromise their dignity, or their ability to perform their jobs.
